My dogs

Alright so you know my dog, Buddy. And, ummm, I gotta tell you, this dog – he is so lazy. Especially in the winter. All he seems to want to do is sleep all the time, eh? And so won’t he be surprised when he wakes up in the spring and meets Holly. This is Holly and she’s twelve weeks old. Holly look at the camera. Look at the camera.
If you build it

So the first thing is to grab your can opener and remove the top of the coke can. Next I drilled a couple of holes at the bottom. Which is actually now the top. In order to push a piece of coathanger through for a means to hang it from.
Now admittedly, Caplugs are something that a mechanic gets his hands on quite readily. But you can try and find some at a local hose and fitting shop. Or just get creative and use some paint can lids or whatever junk you find that fits. So punch a hole that’s big enough for the Caplug to pass through. It acts as a guard so that the birds don’t harm their beaks on the aluminum.
They will hum
So I put a little bit of yellow tape on and cut it to look like a decoy flower in order to direct the birds to the honeyhole. Boil some water in a saucepan and stir in the sugar until it’s dissolved. So I just fill up the Caplug. Tuck it into the Coke can and then string it up by that coathanger rod I made.
